We’re both just getting seriously into video game development with this game so our past projects were mostly personal projects we didn’t seek to publish. At the end, the release date is revealed to be March 10. The trailer also showcases the customizability of its player character and the most important part: the gameplay. It mixes Byzantine-like cityscapes and cold, industrial scenery, showcasing bizarre monsters that are a mix of flesh and mechanical parts.
The trailer very much brings the Dark Souls essence that fans of the genre are used to, though the look of the world sets the game apart from its peers. Bleak Faith: Forsaken is categorized as a mix between cyberpunk and dark fantasy. The reason why Archangel Studios chose that route is that, in its own words, "we want to crowdfund the game because we're building a game for gamers - not for investors." The game was made by only 3 developers and the Kickstarter has gathered $31,199 from 362 backers, not quite reaching the stretch goal that would've added companions at $50,000. The origins of Bleak Faith: Forsaken can be traced back to Kickstarter. The game has a very soulslike style both in its combat and its appearance, and fans still riding high from the thrills of Elder Ring cannot wait to play it.
